FOX RIVER GROVE - David Thomas Marr, 64, of Fox River Grove, passed away suddenly on Thursday February 15, 2018 at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, IL. He was born April 16, 1953 in Chicago, IL. During his teen years he enjoyed singing at Hauge Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chicago, IL, in a church youth group "Moving Trend" and many have remained dear friends for more than forty five years. He was a Cary-Grove Jaycee for many years and enjoyed helping others and the community. He will be remembered for his loving and caring ways, his jovial and quick witted nature and sense of humor. His favorite hobby for forty years was bowling on many leagues; where he once bowled a perfect 300 game. Throughout his life he enjoyed camping, vacationing (especially in Las Vegas), playing cards, riding his motorcycle, target shooting, playing bags, and throwing darts. He was a machinist for over forty five years and was currently working at DMS Inc. in Lake Zurich, IL.He was married on October 8, 1977 at St. Hyacinth Church in Chicago, IL.Beloved husband to his wife of forty years, Cynthia "Cindy" Lucille (Skawinski) Marr. Loving father of David Michael [Stephanie Jean (Wright)] Marr. Devoted son of Barbara Ann (Harris) Marr. Dear brother of Steven Wayne (Caryn Summerville) Marr. Caring father-in-law of Sarah (LeClair) Marr. Cherished brother-in-law of Linda (Les) Brand, Carol (Bill) Sliwa, Nancy Skawinski and Scott Weber. Fond uncle of seven nephews and four nieces. Loving "Fur Daddy" to his cats Romeo and Juliet.He was preceded in death by his loving son Dennis Matthew Marr, his father Roland Thomas "RT" Marr, and his sister Lynn Marie (Marr) Weber.The Visitation for Dave will be on Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Road, Cary. The Funeral Service will be on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Road, Cary.
