Betty J. Destree

There will be a memorial service held for Betty Jane Destree on Saturday, April 7th at 11:00 am in the Chapel at the First Congregational Church, 461 Pierson Street, in Crystal Lake, IL.Betty Jane Destree was born on April 6th, 1930, to Clarence & Margaret Bublitz in Milwaukee, WI and passed from this life on December 16, 2017, in her home. She was united in marriage to Robert Destree on April 7th, 1951, in Chicago.She was a graduate of Von Stubin High School in Chicago with the Class of 1948. Her life vocation was secretarial and homemaking, always giving priority to her love for family. She also loved gardening, knitting, and a variety of crafts. She lived out a life philosophy of a commitment to hard work, honesty, good parenting, and a quality of family life which she helped create. She is survived by her husband, Robert; her daughters, Susan (Dave) Ling and Cathy (George) Livas; sons, Ken Destree & Wayne (Cindy) Destree; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, David, Marianne, Maribeth, Cathy, and Margaret Ling, Randy Halstedt, Bobby (Mallory) Destree, Brittany Destree, Angela (Richard) Ramirez, Kim, Matt (Christina), Lori & Bryan Livas; ; and great grandson, Abel Ramirez.
