Rita Patterson Obituary

Rita J. Patterson, age 72 of Cary passed away November 7, 2019 at her home. She was born July 5, 1947 in Spangler, PA, the daughter of Louis and Catherine Haluska.

Rita is survived by her children: Nannette “Anne” Patterson and Michael (Adele Petit) Patterson, her grandchildren: Gabriel and Greta Patterson, a sister Lois (Bill) Gay as well as a niece Jennifer (Henri) van Goethem and a nephew Andrew (Amy) Gay. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by a brother Dickie Haluska.

Rita was a retired school teacher having taught in Cary District 26 for over 20 years. She was an active volunteer for the Inter-Faith Community for Retained Immigrants and served the Pastoral Care Ministry at McHenry County jail.

There will be a Memorial Mass for Rita which will be announced at a later date.
