Meredith Margaret Roddy, 73, of Fox River Grove, Il, peacefully went home to her Heavenly Father on June 26, 2019 in Barrington.

Born in Oak Park, Illinois on March 11, 1946, Meredith Roddy (nee Loechl) was the loving and loved daughter of George and Virginia Loechl (nee Novak) and sister to George Loechl, Jr. She is the beloved mother to four daughters; Laurel Vuglar, Heather Gates, April Roddy and Rachel Roddy and mother-in-law to Timothy Vuglar and Christopher Gates. She found great joy in her seven grandchildren; Mikaela, Benjamin and Emily Vuglar, Amber and Abriana Wilson; Jonathan Thoemke and Leah Ellis.

A graduate of Maine East Highschool in Park Ridge, Illinois, Meredith’s professional career included holding positions in a variety of industries with a focus on human resources. Her adventurous spirit and love for cooking led her to fulfil her dream of opening a restaurant in Fuengirola, Spain, where she moved to in 2006, residing there for several years. Along with a dedicated love for her family, Meredith Roddy was an animal advocate, enjoying the company of beloved dogs and cats and volunteering at local animal shelters.

Burial will be private.
