William Arado Obituary

William "Bill" Arado at the young age of 72, Cary, Illinois passed away peacefully at his residence into eternal life surrounded by his loved ones. Bill was born October 9, 1945 in Chicago to Raymond and Florence Losch. He attended and graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale (Go Salukis) with a degree in Marketing where he was a member of the Phi Sigma Epsilon Fraternity. He began his career with Mobile Oil Corporation and then on went on to start his own company Arado Management Inc. (AMI) and managed properties in Illinois, Wisconsin and Florida. He was a Cub Master in Cary for Pack 357 and troop 160. Mary Anne and Bill recently helped build a Catholic Church in Guatemala, named St. Maximillian and Raymond Chapel. One can see the photo of the finished church proudly hanging in Mary Anne and Bill's kitchen. He also helped to support the renovation of Good Shepherd Church in Africa both through the Salesian Missions. Bill enjoyed spending time with friends at Vista Del Lago in Lake Geneva, Marco Island and boating on his boat, "My Diva" in Lake Geneva and the Chain of Lakes. He was often seen driving his golf cart with his grandkids. As an Italian he loved to eat and recently his wife, Mary Anne wrote her own cook book and I am pretty sure Bill sampled each recipe in the book not once but three times! He had quite the vegetable garden...where some even called him Grandpa Tomato. Most of all....Bill was just simply a family man and loved to celebrate a holiday or celebration surrounded by his family. Bill instilled this in his children. On July 24, 1971 he married his love of his life, Mary Anne Gorgos, at St. Joseph and St. Anne Catholic Church in Chicago. This July would have been their 47th wedding anniversary. Bill and Mary Anne had three children. Jill (Andy) Marthaler, Scott (Whitney) Arado, Pam (Matthew) Landvick. His three children and their spouses enjoyed the family holiday traditions. Many that will now be carried on to their children. He is survived by his wife, Mary Anne of 46 years, His brother, Robert Arado, and sisters, Janice Underwood, Joan (Joe) Kudrys, Joyce Ralis, and many nieces and nephews.Bill was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. Bill loved his kids and adored his grandchildren. Ashley, Amber, Caden, Sloane, Rylen, Jaylen, Braylen and Deklen. The grandkids loved calling to tellk him about their homeruns, hits, soccer goals, times in swimming and hearing about their dance competitions. IHe was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Florence Arado. Among his many talents, Bill was just a wonderful person with many stories. But like all good husbands and fathers, he enjoyed his family time the most. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. The family would like to thank Journey Care Hospice and especially his private caregivers Randy of Home Instead, Terry and Steve of Visiting Angels for their compassion and devoted care.Visitation for Bill will be held on Sunday, July 1, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Kahle Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Rd., Cary and on Monday July 2nd from 9:30 AM and concluding with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at SS.
