Rose Haakonsen

Rose Haakonsen, age 90 of Fox River Grove passed away January 15, 2018 at Good Shepherd Hospital. She was born May 23, 1927 in Cross Plains, TX., the daughter of Silas and Rosa Havens. Rose is survived by her son Kevin (Sarah) Haakonsen, her grandchildren: Christy (Jacob Smith) Haakonsen, Jade Haakonsen and Malia Haakonsen as well as a brother Charles C. (Alberta) Havens. She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Haakonsen, a son Ronald (Dori Mischick) Haakonsen as well as her siblings: William Floyd Havens, Loyd Havens, Ruth McIntosh, Autna Deen Brown and Marie Anderson. Rose was employed at Oak Industries in Crystal Lake for 35 years, she was a member of the Norge Ski Club and Cary United Methodist Church. Visitation for Rose will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Rd., Cary. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, January 20th at Cary United Methodist Church, 500 First St., Cary with burial following at Windridge Memorial Park.
