Maryann Pauline Kendrick born March 6, 1939, in Chicago Illinois died Sept 29, 2016 in Aurora, Colorado. Maryann was born in Chicago Illinois then moved to Cary Illinois where she was raised with her 4 siblings. Maryann graduated from Crystal Lake Community HS. After HS she was married to David Lee Kendrick. Together they had 7 children. Maryann is survived by her seven children Kathleen Mary Jackson(Aurora Colorado), Daryl Lee Kendrick (McHenry Illinois ),Kevin Michael Kendrick (crystal lake, Illinois ), Daniel Louis Kendrick (Jaime) (wonder lake, Illinois), Karri Ann Mick (Raymond)(Haysville, Kansas), Kimberly Ann Kendrick ( Aurora, Colorado), David Lee Kendrick Jr. (Parker, Colorado). Survived by Siblings Barbara Olhava, Paul John Wenzel Jr. (Christine), Patricia Burkhardt (Gary), and Constance Wenzel. 16 Grandchildren , 13 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Paul John Wenzel Sr. and Mary Helen (Wenzel) Arters and her brother in law Kenneth Olhava. Maryann was very active with Scouts and served in every capacity when it came to scouts. She was involved in the Jaycees for over 10 years. Maryann was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was on several bowling leagues while she lived in Illinois. She worked at Black Dot and DB Hess while living in Illinois. Once she moved to Colorado she got very involved at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church . She taught Sunday school, religious education to the older kids. Was a confirmation sponsor to many as well as a sponsor in the RCIA program. Maryann was very involved with the youth group as well as helped start the Workcamp Mission Trips. She attended many work camp mission trips in the 20 years at St. Michaels. She was also involved with the women's club and the moments for mothers retreat for over 20 years. Maryann was a very active parishioner with in her church. She served on many teams and many committees. Maryann was also a volunteer at the soup kitchen for over 15 years where she served the homeless dinner and helped where ever was needed. She was involved in the Rocky Mountain TEC retreats for teenagers and adults. She was loved by everyone. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren as well. She enjoyed teaching them all about her arts and crafts over the years. Some of them picked up her love of crafting. Maryann was a good friend to so many that have crossed her path over the years. She will be missed by the people that her life has touched. She was a grandmother to everyone and anyone. Everyone called her Gma. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Rd., Cary, from 4:00PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 26, 2016.
