Karen B. Niese

Karen Niese, age 73 of Cary passed away December 27, 2017 at JourneyCare Hospice in Barrington. She was born January 26, 1944 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Erwin and Charlotte Brunger. Karen is survived by her children: Steve (Rose) Niese, Amy (Michael Cardona) Taylor and Eric (Kimberly) Niese, her siblings: Marcia, Barry and Wendy as well as 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Karen was a member of the Cary Senior Citizens, the Cary Canaries and Cary Garden Club. She operated the Ber-Ridge Kennels in Barrington and raised golden retrievers; she was an equestrian and loved gardening. There will be a Memorial Visitation for Karen on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 3:00 Pm until 7:00 PM at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Rd., Cary.
