John H. Neifing

.John H. Neifing, age 67, of Cary, IL, was born in Streator, IL, the son of John Neifing and Veronica Sopko Neifing. John attended Northern Illinois University where he served in the National Guard, graduated with a Masters degree, and went on to enjoy a long career in finance. To his friends, he was steadfast, honorable, and always willing to help out. To his children, he was a loving father who taught honesty, integrity, and accountability. To his grandchildren, he was a doting grandfather who felt it was his job to spoil them, never missed a school event or celebration, and always had their favorite snacks stocked in the pantry. His passing came too soon and he will be deeply missed.John is survived by his children, Mark Neifing (spouse, Jovita Hernandez) and Stephanie Neifing Calderon (spouse, Richard Calderon) and his grandchildren, Seth, Isabella, and Zachary Neifing.Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, James Neifing.A private memorial service is being held by John's family.
