Jane Stutts

Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Jane Stutts, age 93 of Cary passed away April 26, 2018. She was born on June 6, 1924 in Greene County, PA, the daughter of Michael J. and Ethel M. Morgan.Jane is survived by her children: Kathleen (Steve) Schwab, Christine (Rick) Sommers, Corrine (Kim France) Stutts and James A. (Angela) Stutts, Jr., her grandchildren: Ben Schwab, Mark Schwab, Jeff Schwab, Kary Sommers, Dan Sheetz, Jr., Morgan Stutts, Emily Stutts, James Stutts III, Megan Stutts and Katy Stutts, her Great Grandchildren: Cole, Charley Jane, Beatrice, Quincy and Marjorie as well as a daughter-in-law Wendy Stutts. She is preceded in death by her husband James A. Stutts, Sr., her son Richard Stutts and two sisters and four brothers.Jane was proud of her Irish heritage and especially cherished the moment she shook JFK's hand while he was campaigning in Elgin. Active in civic life, she served on the Cary Library Board, volunteered with the Hospice of Northeastern Ill., and was a long time member of the SS. Peter & Paul Women's Club. She was a nurse by profession, served as a substitute nurse at Cary Grove High School, and volunteered at Three Oaks School. She enjoyed a good game of golf, and was a longtime member of the Women's Golf League at Cary Country Club. She also loved crafts, especially quilting, crocheting and sewing. And she loved the Cubs. But more than anything, Jane loved people, and was beloved for her lively conversation, sense of humor, and chipped ham sandwiches. She will be terribly missed not only by her immediate family, but by her many nieces, nephews, and children's friends.There will be a visitation for Jane on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Rd., Cary. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday May 2nd at 10:30 AM at SS. Peter & Paul Church, 410 First St., Cary and followed with interment at St. John Nepomucene Cemetery.In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated to JourneyCare Hospice, 405 Lake Zurich Rd., Barrington, IL 60010.
