Ernest A. Schatz, age 91, of Cary passed away July 11, 2017. He was born August 25, 1925 in Monticello, Iowa, the son of Ernest and Grace Schatz. Ernie is survived by his loving children: Alan (Karen) Schatz and Susan (Michael) Fitzpatrick, and his beloved grandchildren: Dana Schatz, Derek Schatz, Michael Fitzpatrick, Emily Fitzpatrick and Colin Fitzpatrick as well as his dear brother Lester (Audrey) Schatz. He is preceded in death by his wife Ann Schatz as well as four brothers and two sisters. Ernie served in the Army during WW II and was very active in the St. Barnabas Church community. Visitation and Services will be private for the family. Memorials in Ernie's name would be appreciated to St. Barnabas Lutheran Church, 8901 Cary-Algonquin Rd., Cary, IL. 60013.
