Beverly Laube Obituary

Beverly Laube, age 93, of Cary passed away peacefully in her home on June 7, 2017.She was born January 19, 1924 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Vincent and Florence Biondi of Chiesanuova, Italy. She married Otto Laube of Chicago, IL in 1958; he precedes her in death in 1996, as well as her only sibling, Evelyn Sherretz, in 2013.She will be missed by her three loving children, Pam, Peggy, and Marc; her grandchildren, Tyler, Ross, Marc Jr., Sean, and Kyle; her great grandchild, Everett; and her many friends with whom she enjoyed la dolce vita.Beverly worked in a Defense Plant during WWII and retired from Curtiss Breeding Service in Cary where she worked in Accounting. She and her husband purchased a second home in Florida where they spent Chicago winters from 1976-2004 before returning to Illinois.Beverly was an accomplished and trained artist in several mediums, including oil painting and pottery, and won several awards for her original works, some of which have a permanent home at McHenry County College where she attended pottery classes. She also was a skilled seamstress and taught adult sewing classes in the 1960's at Cary-Grove Community High School. Beverly was an outstanding cook and baker; an opera aficionado, primarily of Italian composers; and a member of the Lyric Opera in Chicago for many years. She traveled the world by land, sea, and air, including five trips to Italy to visit her parents' family and to explore the country.A Memorial Service will be held on August 13, 2017 at the Bright Oaks Clubhouse in Cary from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
