Benjamin J. Eaton, age 39 of Minong, WI., formerly of Cary passed away unexpectedly on February 24, 2018. He was born March 31, 1978, the son of Stephen and Judith Eaton, he is preceded in death by his father and paternal and maternal grandparents. He is survived by his mother Judith (Grabowski) Eaton and a brother Edward Eaton as well as aunts, uncles and cousins. Ben graduated from Cary-Grove High School and attended Elgin Community College where he excelled in their culinary program and became an accomplished chef. He was an artist in many disciplines, his favorite being music and playing the guitar. He played in a band and enjoyed open mic nights, jamming and playing a guitar around a campfire were some of his pleasures. He lived for a time in Colorado and enjoyed hiking and camping in the mountains. He became an avid cyclist and found a hobby in gardening. While in Minong he worked as a chef at Gruzy's Restaurant and Pub, and started guitar classes at the Minong Community Center, teaching children and adults alike. He had an energetic and contagious personality and will be missed by all he touched. There will be a visitation for Ben on Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM with a prayer service at 5:00 PM at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Rd., Cary.
